the Thomson Newspaper Group's charity aid convoy to Baia Mara,Transylvania,the highlight of Joni's hard work was when she organized a charity concert at the Federation Brewery Dunston with well known local artistes on the bill and many companies donating raffle prizes which resulted in around £2000  being raised.In April of 1992 Dave was in the convoy that left London for Romania via France,Belgium,Holland,Germany,Austria &Hungary.We took food and clothing to two orphanages in the town and visited a hospital where some of the kids (some just babies) had aids.We worked on one of the orphanages wiring,plumbing and decorating which could be hardwork  after a night drinking the local hooch called 'Polinka' (notice dave's redness around the nose!)
